Christmas Gifts for the Home, by Price and Recipient

For a home gift that gets used past January, buy the thing the person has been putting up with. A worn bath mat, a mismatched bin, a shower liner going cloudy. We do not sell Christmas decorations (everything here is bath, kitchen and entryway), so this is a guide to gifts that happen to be given in December, sorted by who you are buying for and what you want to spend.

What can I buy for under $25?

This is stocking-filler territory, and it is where the most-used objects live. There are 358 items in stock under $25.

Gift Price Good for
Wooden handheld massager $12.99 Anyone. Our best seller overall
Magnetic bamboo soap holder $14.99 Bar-soap households
Shower curtain rings, set of 12 $7.99 A cheap fix that looks deliberate
Adhesive wall mirrors, set of 4 $22.49 Renters. No drilling
Padang tissue box cover $24.99 Anyone with a guest bathroom
Self-adhesive gold sash hooks, set of 4 $8.99 Kitchen windows, no tools

What about $25 to $50?

One object that replaces something worn out. This band holds 391 items and is where most single gifts land.

What is worth spending over $50 on?

A coordinated set, because it is the only gift here that changes a whole room out of one box. Five matching countertop pieces bought separately come to roughly $120; the set is $99.99.

Who is hardest to buy for, and what works?

Recipient Buy Price
Someone who just moved Bienvenue coir door mat, 24 x 16 in. $36.99
A renter Over-the-door hook rack: no drilling $14.99
Someone with no storage Cotton Padang baskets, set of 3 $47.99
Someone who cooks Anti-fatigue kitchen mat $94.99
Taste unknown Bamboo body brush $24.99

What should I not buy as a gift?

Anything that has to fit a measurement you do not have. Shower curtain rods, toilet seats and contour rugs all depend on the recipient’s bathroom, and a gift that needs returning is worse than no gift.

Glass is the other one to think about. A glass soap dispenser on a tile floor in a house with children or pets has a limited life. Polyresin looks close enough and survives.

Common questions

Do you sell Christmas decorations? No. The catalog is bath, kitchen and entryway accessories year-round. The gold-finish pieces are the closest thing to a seasonal look, and they stay right in February.

What is the single safest gift? The $24.99 bamboo body brush or the $12.99 massager. No sizing, no color scheme, no assembly.

Can I build a small hamper from several items? Yes, and it reads better than one mid-priced object. A massager, a pumice stone, a loofah and a soap dish come to about $56.

Something for a host? A door mat or a kitchen mat. Both are visible, neither is personal.
