Sweet Home Coir Door Mat for Narrow Sheltered Entries

This long, slim coir mat measures 30 x 10 inches, a size made for entries where a standard 18 x 30 inch mat takes up too much room: apartment doors, side entries, French doors and narrow front steps under a porch roof or awning.

The top is dense coconut coir, handwoven in India, with a Sweet Home message and a small heart set in black, gray, green and ecru blocks. The 5/8 inch pile scrapes mud, sand and grit from shoe soles, and the PVC backing grips the floor so the mat stays in place.

Where to Use It

Place the mat in a covered spot. Coir works best when it can dry out between uses, so a porch, portico or awning suits it well. For open steps exposed to rain, choose an all-rubber mat instead.

Care

Shake it out, sweep it or vacuum it. Spot clean with a damp cloth and let it air dry flat. Some shedding in the first weeks is normal for natural coir.
