Hanging a cafe curtain usually means a drill, two anchors and a patch job later. These black self adhesive curtain rod hooks skip that step. The base sticks to the window frame, the casing or the wall. A stainless steel pin holds the end of a flat sash rod.
Clean and dry the surface first. Peel the backing and press the base firmly for a few seconds. Then lower the sash rod onto the pin. The rod lifts straight off when the panel goes in the wash. It drops back on without realigning anything.
Each set holds up to 3 pounds. That covers sheers, lace, valances, tiers and cafe panels on a lightweight sash rod. Heavy blackout drapery and breakable objects belong on a drilled bracket. To remove a hook, warm the adhesive with a hair dryer and peel it off slowly. Avoid freshly painted or flaking walls, where the paint can lift.
